Alfaforni ovens are 100% made in Italy. Their base is in the ancient town of Anagni, off the road that joins Rome to Naples – the historic heartland of pizza – and it’s from here that for more than 40 years they have been perfecting the performance of their ovens. Founded in 1977 by Marcello Ortuso and Rocco Lauro, Alfa remains a true family business. Marcello and Rocco are still the soul of the company, but they’ve now been joined by the next generation the Ortuso and Lauro families. They are proud to be Italian and proud to work with the best Italian artisans.
The CLASSICO line is based on soft curves and subtle colours, resulting in a classy, elegant oven that will fit discretely into your garden or terrace. Like all Alfa lines, CLASSICO ovens combine Italian tradition and craftsmanship with cutting-edge materials and engineering:
• Unique ‘flattened’ half-dome design, developed after extensive testing identified it as the ideal shape for maximising circulation and heat flow.
• Full-circulation flue system, ceramic fibre insulation and refractory brick base that efficiently reach and maintain temperatures up to 500°C.
• Titanium-impregnated 441 stainless steel inner wall that can tolerate thermal stress and resist heat, corrosion and atmospheric agents.
• Seamless shell made from a single sheet of powder-coated steel, with no rivets, making it both elegant and highly durable
